Today is going to be a bit harder. My son is cutting his first tooth and isn't sleeping well at all. So that means I'm TIRED! Having a child can be a real obstacle when trying to make your life balanced. But where there is a will there is a way and this is what I've done and what I plan to do.
So far I feel that I've done great. I feel better regardless of the lack of sleep and after three days of exercising and taking my vitamins and drinking green barely my husband complimented me on my skin. He said it looked clear and more even which of course made me feel good! I haven't told him about the exercising part of this because I want to do an experiment. I want to see if he notices any changes in my body and/or my mood. So far it seems to be doing something for my complexion so that might mean that my circulation has already improved. I also feel the soreness from the exercise which is always a good thing. It certainly means I'm working some new muscles that I haven't worked in awhile. Monday I did my 55 minute lower body workout, Tuesday I did a six minute ab circuit and took a short walk to the mailbox with Jacob and my dog and yesterday I did my upper body as well as took the dog and Jacob for a much longer walk in the morning. While walking I realized how important it is to be outside in the sunshine. We all know the benefits of what a little sun can do for your mood and I know my dog and Jacob sure appreciated the walk outside as well. So that is something I will be adding daily in the morning to always get my day off to the right start. I also plan on doing one of my workout video's three to four times a week. One day for my upper body, one day for my abs and one day for my lower body. And if I can pull the remote from my husbands hand I will be doing one of my full body workouts on the weekend.
As far as my diet goes, there is some room for improvement but I do feel good about taking my vitamins and I really feel good about the green barely. It has a lot to offer and I found a very good article on what it does. Check the benefits out for yourself. I know I'm sold and will always incorporate this product into my diet.

Today is also payday! Woohoo! So after I write the checks out for the ever growing stack of bills I will be putting a list together of healthy food for next week. I know with a little planning I can get through next week without having to succumb to take out food and fattening dishes.
I'm really excited about the changes I have planned for myself. Of course when you start something new, excitement helps keep you motivated so the next plan of action is to figure out how I'm going to keep going when the excitement wears off!
Good luck to everybody and stay tuned for Day 3!

Good luck and hope the tooth comes in quickly. I do remember that first tooth, as we didn't get any sleep.
Keep up the good work!

It will be interesting for you to monitor your circuit training times or mile-splits (or whatever is convenient) as you work out over the years. I've gone from running just over 7 minutes a mile for 10K to struggling with a slow 4 mile run, in 10 short years. During that time my weight fluctuated from 165 to 195 to a current 175 (with very little muscle). I lost the weight by skipping lunch for a year because I didn't have time or was too stressed to eat, not because I trained hard.
I did just complete my first triathlon, but not fast- I had no time and/or energy to train. I can't credit my kids with all of this, however: the economy has been a big factor, too, along with my (flawed) personality.
So, you go, girl! It sounds like you have a great balance.
