've decided to look at my weight-loss efforts as a "job" I don't work outside my home, I don't have kids, and I live alone, so I definitely have the time to devote to it. All I need to do is use my massive amount of tv and internet time and I'll have this problem under control in no time!
I created a gather group devoted to living a healthy lifestyle, so I figued I better walk the walk LOL...I go to weight watchers faitfully, and in two years i've lost about 60 pounds, definitely nothing to sneeze at!! That said though, I think I could have done alot better. I have always written down every single thing i've eaten, good or bad....I get all my water in every day...i've gotten some activity in, but I realize it's not been enough...I make really good food choices about 95% of the time, but if I want to finally get this weight off once and for all I have to do better than that....and I plan too...
I need to find an activity that I love so that I know i'll stick with it. I like to walk, and I already do that several times a week, but I need something more....I do have a health club membership, but there is a problem with that...it's two cities away, I can't drive, and we don't have a bus system in my area. I have posted on Craig's list though, looking for a workout partner...so far nothing. I only wish it was a co-ed gym, because one of my guy friends goes there all the time..three days a week it's ladies only, and three days it's guys only....i'm hopeful that i'll find a workout buddy to go with though..i'd LOVE to do some water aerobics..with my achy knees I think it would be a great place to start.
I love to cook...I just hate cooking for one...but i'm going to have to get over that if I want to succeed. It's getting warmer now though, and I know i'm not going to want to have my stove going...I guess it's time for lots of fruit, veggies and salads..luckily I love all three, so it's not a problem.....I don't mind using my microwave though, so I can do some cooking...the top of my stove won't be to bad either...It's time to start making some of my favorite foods a alot healhier!!
I can do this, I KNOW I can!!
