I like to read books and then pass them on to my friends. Redesigning 50: The No-Plastic-Surgery Guide to 21st-Century Age defiance will not be gone to my friends. I will be keeping this book to read over and over again. I read it twice before I started this review. I read it once for pleasure. Then I pulled out my red pencil and reread it for knowledge and a plan for my "New Life". This book was one that I could relate to in a big way. I am not 50 but I am pushing very close to that age.
Redesigning 50 is filled with tips on everything from eating healthy, skin and body care, hormones, stress reduction (don't we all need this) and dental care to exercise and how to have inner beauty. Oz calls "the New 50" a fitter healthier, better looking middle age than you ever imagined possible. In this book, he explains how to take advantage of the finest of both worlds of science and artistry. Doing it all without plastic surgery.
I found this book to be of value to me in my life. He talks about things that are already on my mind. I do not intend on growing old gracefully. I plan on fighting it tooth and nail. In this book, Oz gives me the ammunition to fight with.
After reading a few chapters of this book, I quickly realized that this was not your average diet book nor was it your average beauty book. It is a perfect combination of everything that I needed to fight the battle of aging.
If you are looking for tips and advice on fighting the battle with aging, this book is for you. If you have no plans to fight the fight the battle, don't get near this book because it will motivate you to battle.
In Redesigning 50, Oz talks a lot about the traditions of Japan and the Mediterranean foods. I was very interested in this as I had never had much experience with foods or the way of life from the Mediterranean.
This is definitely the ANTI-AGING Manual!
