I'm just looking forward to not having to wake up early everyday to take my son to school. Sleeping in sounds wonderful right now.

I hope to get to go somewhere for vacation at some point so we shall see.

This summer I'm looking forward to seeing my mom. We will be spending 2 week this summer in the great North West visiting her. I haven't seen her in 3 years. I have so many things planned for mother daughter granddaughter time.

I'm also looking forward to traveling some with my hubby who works out of town. Spending days visiting places I have never been and nights with my hubby. We only get to see him a few days out of the month so this will be extremely fun for all of us. Plus when he's home we will be doing some remodeling on this house. That should be fun right?

The other thing I'm looking forward to is reading as much as I can. I'll be starting college (after 9 long years of being out of school) and going back full time so I'm gonna be doing as much reading as I can. I would love to be able to read this book and review it.

I'm going to be spending some time down at the Jersey shore with my family. I'm also hoping to have more time to take pictures and videos to post here on Gather.

I'm looking forward to my first real vacation in about 5 years. I rarely get vacations, and when I do get to take a little time off and relax a bit, I usually end up having to bring my computer with me and work at least part of the time. That's one of the tough parts of working at home..you're always at work. This year, I'll be taking 8 whole days completely off! I won't have to type a word that isn't only for pleasure, and I'll be flying back to my hometown in Massachusetts for the week of the 4th of July, and joining my friends and the few family members who are still up there to celebrate the 4th with lots of food, swimming, cookouts, and partying..and real pizza!! That's one of the first things I always do when I go home, order pizza.. they don't know how to make a pizza in the south. LOL I'll definitely be bringing a book or two with me as well. I can't wait!

I'm looking forward to being able to turn off the furnace. It's May 8 in Michigan, and the furnace is on!

Then, although I know people commonly look forward to NOT working in the summer, I have high hopes that my job will go from part to full time so I can afford to turn my furnace back on in the fall.

My boyfriend and I are going to San Francisco the weekend of my birthday July 10-13. His cousin is having her Chinese Wedding Banquet there that weekend also. Should be a fun time!

I plan on spending time with family and travelling. My husband and I are taking me three nephews for a weekend while their parents go on an anniversary weekend. We plan on taking them to Iowa to visit the Field of Dreams. They ar 6, 7 and 9. The love baseball and we love them.
My husband and son and I are then taking a vacation in July to visit friends in Maryland. We will be taking in a lot of baseball and some Lancaster Co and some Jimmy Stewart.
With all this travelling in a car, I will need lots to read.

I'm looking forward to enjoying some time out on our deck (with my new fountain) and soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. It has been a long winter. We hope to take a trip to Michigan for a few days, but the gas prices are cramping our style a little bit. I'm also hopeful that my daughter will finally get to take a vacation from her job and come home for a week!

I am looking forward to getting out on the waves without a wetsuit. Have you ever worn one of those? It is like trying to put a small case on a big sausage!
I am looking forward to our first real family vacation. We are going to a favorite destination of mine, Costa Rica. This will be the first time my Husband & Daughter will go outside of the United States. I think my Husband is nervous, but he will love Costa Rica as I do, I know he will.

We will enjoy some shopping while in the captial city of San Jose. Some tours are also on the agenda. Maybe a riverboat tour, maybe the butterfly gardens.....don't want to overplan!
I also look forward to reading, I devour books when I'm on vacation!

I would love to read this book and review it. I love the other works I have read. It sounds like a great funny, summer read, which I love, reading outside on our new small front deck.

I got an early copy of Summer BLowout at a festival in New Orleans and devoured it on the plane ride home. I love all her books and this one is SUch a great read I was sad when it ended. Maybe I'll read it again this summer. Her writing class was great. She had us in stitches and gave the best advice, a whole new way of looking at some of these things for me. She was very generous in sharing her own story and what had worked for her and said a lot of things that were helpful even if you;re not a writer but going after another dream. If you get an opportunity to see her, definitely go.

I am going to the park near my house and I am going to swing back and forth and enjoy the breeze and a daydream.

I love walking the dogs in summer and even taking the cats out for supervised outdoor time.

I am also teaching college English classes rthjis summer. That will be fun. They can write about summer activities.

Of course, there are also great reads and this I am sure will be one of them.

I'll be enjoying my garden, planting, digging, the whole thing, then enjoying the lovely flowers that poke their heads up to say thank you..
I'll be working on my book about mothering a terminally ill child..a life-long dream about to come true..
We have a house-painting chore in the works as well..
Any time spent with my family is always great..
I'll try to learn one new thing every day and make one new friend...

This winter was SO long, snow in MAY. That we can't wait for summer! We have already purchased season passes the Silverwood Theme Park which also has a waterpark, we will be spending lots of time there.

We also have plans to go camping several times this summer as well. We love camping and so do the kids!

And we are planning a trip to the Oregon Coast sometime in August, we haven't been on a family vacation in 3 years! Plus, we are going to meet up with my Gather friend Faith B, while we are there too!
My plans this summer (besides spending some time with my grandchildren) include: getting married, going on vacation to New Orleans, going to the beach, and spending time with family. I am just glad it's warm weather!

I think you should name your "baby" Cannoli after the dog in this novel! Both are adorable. Though you might have to give its fur pink streaks to match the cover. I think I might get pink streaks in my own hair this summer, just to embarrass my kids.

I'm looking forward to spending more time with the kids. This is my daughter's last year at home (she's headed to college next year) so we'll have lots of fun sunning together. Would love to have a good read we can both share (and we'll both write reviews, too!)

Summer, I love Summer!, This Summer will be a special one for sure. Of course we'll take a week or so off and hit sandestin Beacf, Fla.. We will have some fun family time which is precious since the kids are already college students and it is only a matter of time until they fly away. The most important thing about this Summer is that we will be back in our beloved New Orleans home for good. Not only that, but also that our neighbors are all back and our neighborhood loks wonderful. I love Summer!

I am single woman and love my status. This summer I plan to learn the keyboard. As it is, I am already commited to too many reading challenges from the blog world. I might pass a few of those! As I have recently moved to another part of Delhi, I need to be connected with the street children out here. I have always worked towards thier betterment. I have already started work in that direction. Lets see how I fare..

This summer is going to be filled with writing (final edit of a play before submitting to publishers), tending our garden, waiting anxiously for our first grandchild, playing with our dogs, and smiling as much as absolutely possible!
