Trolley Ads

While visiting the CT Trolley Museum yesterday, I noticed the advertisements on the trolleys.  Some are for local businesses and some national products.

I love looking at old advertisements! I particularly like the one where they repair holes in clothes and the address is "Wholley Avenue". :o)

That is how they made money, letting people advertize on the sides. Dont you just love seeing some of the old ads?

I remember seeing ads like that in buses when I was a kid. Do they still have ads in buses? I haven't been on a bus in so long I don't even know.

Those really are some old ads. It's been a long time since I've heard someone call margarine oleomargarine. Quite a collection. I bet this was a fun and interesting jaunt.
