I know I post a lot of photos, but I'm awestruck by the natural beauty that is all around us here. I lived 50+ years in a suburban city where sunrises and sunsets were not easy to see. There were too many houses and trees blocking the view. There was too much light to see stars shine clearly and brightly.
I love my hometown, but when I saw the night sky peppered with millions of stars, it took my breath away. I am thrilled with the beauty of every season here at the lake. I love photographing and sharing the beauty. This is the sunrise I saw this morning.
It's impossible to capture the real colors, but this is close.
The snowy surface of the lake is crisscrossed with snowmobile tracks, but this morning, all was quiet. Cold, but quiet.
It was too early for traffic, school buses or other signs of life. It was very peaceful.
