It appears that maybe the groundhog was wrong. Today, our temperatures rose to 60 degrees. That is unprecedented for February. Some are saying it's a late January thaw, but it's lovely and warm and the air smells like spring!

Slush has replaced the snow on the lake.

No sunbathers at the public beach yet, but we can see the sand.

We'll have some clean up to do, but we can see our beach! Notice the ice has thawed a little along the shore.

We're thinking about beach fires and summer.

We can see our tot lot again. It was almost completely buried in snow.

There is now a clear path to the garage.

The dock waits patiently for the boats to return.

It's cooling off now, but the temperature had topped out at 60!

The sun goes down on a beautiful day.
Okay, I know winter is not over. This is Michigan, after all. By tomorrow, we could be knee deep in snow again, but today was a blessing and we are grateful!
