So I Married A . . . Pirate.

This weekend was my nephew, "Curly J's", birthday party. My sister-in-law often does cute theme parties for the kids, and this one was "PIRATES". My husband, Brian, played the pirate; which he dubbed, Jeremy Jackal. The kids had a BLAST! The boys were glued to him, following him around with their mouths agape. They were so cute. He read them a book that my SIL picked out, "How I Became A Pirate"

With full blown pirate speak. After the book reading, each child got a pirate hat and map. Then Jeremy Jackal lead the kids on a treasure hunt. They, of course, each got a portion of the booty.

He was a hit, and my SIL was actually asked by some party-goer's where she found the guy who played the "pirate". Heeh, heeh. 
It took HOURS to make him look the part.  Not to mention a lot of my black and purple eyeshadow and a bit of black shoe-polish for the teeth.  Also, the hair on his chin was a contribution of out dear daughter's - he took a little snippet from the underside of her hair.  In total, the party was a success.  And he only frightened a few children.
