Two weekends ago we decided to take my son's four children for the day. The older two are really not a problem as they are old enough to occupy themselves. The younger two are a bit more work. But, I thought that having the older two to chase them around that it wouldn't be too bad.
The weather was wonderful with temperatures in the 80's. Although I told Opa not to get water into the game plan, he forgot my warning. Out came the wading pool and the kids delighted in filling it with water. Each had to take a turn holding the hose. I only allowed a minimal amount of water in the pool, just enough to float a pirate ship. Of course they had to put their feet in despite the warning that the water was cold.

Kyra, Dominic and Persephone were the first to splash around.

It didn't take long before all of the kids were playing in the water.

Kyra decided it was time for Opa to get wet.

Mark III was readying a squirt gun for the attack. Dominic was ready to sprint at any minute.

Persephone decided that
to stay on dry land.

After finding a dry spot
Persephone decides to
play with the boat.

It took just a few minutes for Mark III to jump in the water.
Of course he was quickly chilled so we headed inside to
find dry clothes for him. He loved the hat.
It was a lovely day to sit in the sun, chase the grandkids around and enjoy life. Being a grandparent is the best part of life. You can spoil them and send them home.
