This warm spell of 90's has been fabulous. All it takes is some beautiful sunny days to bring out the best smiles down at the beach. If we can make it through the weekend now, that will be 9 days of incredible fun and relaxation before returning to the normal cooler 80's. It was well worth the wait, since several attempts at a Spring vacation were cancelled. The Caribbean, and even Florida, were besieged with clouds and rain since April. UGH. If you're one looking for an affordable summer escape, there are plenty of fantastic beach bargains out there now. For me, I'll stay right here now. With a summer beach and lake just minutes away, we have the place where everyone else wants to come to. I even snuck out of the nasty AC workplace early every day to spend more time at the sunny beach than working. That helped make up for missing a Spring vacation. Let's go play.
There's more than CORN in Indiana! For some that have a hard time comprehending that we actually have a beach, this is an aerial shot of the lakefront, looking South. That's also the pier and lighthouse you see in a lot of my sunset photos.
Barring any storms that can churn up the water, the clarity can provide for some fun snorkeling when the water is flat and calm. It's cool by the pier to spot fish among the rocks. Mid to late summer gets the water around 78-82 degrees.
Small waves and shallow water beckons kids of all sizes for super splashing fun. The bigger waves make for bigger splashing.

Part of the entertainment is people watching. Not sure what prompted this young lad to have green hair?

Weekend beach days are usually 10-12 hours. There's no fun wasting beach time being inside or doing chores......that stuff can wait. With luck, the end of the day may treat your eyes to a spectacular sunset across the lake. Evenings draw a nice crowd hoping to see some of the ever changing colors.

Spring is finally over, and it's time to start working on the Summer Tan. Like an icon on the beach, this character from Indiana is easy to spot. It's been fun bringing you a pictorial adventure from my Lake Michigan beach.

Thanks for stopping today for the surprise visit. I do hope you have taken the time to see my prior posts, essays, and photos. Your views are appreciated.
I've put this up before, in case you want to visit my ambitious MC web site.
Right now it's beach time. See ya' later.

Looks like that it is a fun lake to be at. Can't wait to go home in a few weeks to spend time on the IL side of Lake Michigan
Some nice beaches that way, but with Illinois being on the West side, it lacks the over the water sunsets. But it can provide a sunrise.
Nice, looks like a fun day.
Dang, that guy really has a deep tan!
Wonderful pictures from your beach! Do you live near it?
RB says Hi. That's my Spring tan. Time to start on the summer tan. Yup, I can be there in 8 minutes. Like.........NOW please. Bye.

You're not going to believe this , but I knew right off ,and you were correcting me inregard to the post where I had you in Michigan ,instead of Indiana ! The upbraid ," But Phil ,I don't live in Michigan " fit your photo perfectly ! You looked chilled out ! Good photo.
