Three Views of a Ferry...And More (Photo Essay)

I did a few errands before dinner, and got to the Post Office (uptown) just as the Keystone Ferry was coming in from Whidbey Island (downtown). I grabbed my camera and raced across the street...

I went on to Safeway for a few dinner items, and became the object of some parking lot spectators...it's a good thing Ina wasn't with me!

nice shots and i,too,like how the branches frame the 2nd shot....living where one is dependent on ferries certainly has its pluses and minuses,eh?

Only one movie caused me fear as a child. No, it wasn't Duck Soup. It was The Day The Earth Stood Still. The music was eerie and chilling. Hollywood used to blend music in with scenes to set tone and convey mood. Now, they seem to just use it to fill backdrop space and have a soundtrack they can sell.

I remember that movie, too, William, and the terror I felt watching it.

C-Dawg, when he was three or four, hid behind the couch to watch Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," a horror movie for small children. I was pretty horrified, too....the Disney movies have gone downhill.
