Agate Beach, Oregon (photo essay)

Agate Beach is a huge expanse of blowing sand just north of Newport, Oregon. We stopped here on our vacation the summer of 2005 for a look and a walk. Captured in sepia.

There are many textures of sand to feel under your feet...

wow, I love the sepia here. You used black and white? Or did you use a sepia/bw treatment to color photos.

Sepia/bw always lends a wonderful historical look to photos....

The sepia gives such a "evening" look to the photos. I like it very much. We went to Agate Beach and were surprised at the absence of agates.

I think the Oregon beaches have to be some of the most beautiful anywhere. I've often wished I could leave near one of them.
