Longing For The Ocean

Yesterday afternoon, when we were walking home from school in 95 + weather, my oldest son said. "Tomorrow we need to tip toe, so we can go to the beach." His teacher just informed us that he was off wednesday due to teacher's planning day, and Roshane certainly felt that a day off should be spent at the beach.

I could not agree more and with Gustav speeding through the Carribean, we might get rough beach weather by the weekend, even though he is steering away from Florida. We have not been to the beach, since we came home from the Florida Keys, and a couple of weeks without the beach can be tough on a couple of beach boys.

My husband agreed to let us take the car to the beach, and we arrived at 8 a.m. The waves were not too bad, but we stayed out of the water, since the lifeguard did not get there until around 9:30 a.m., when we were about to leave.

Great beach shots! Isn't living near the beach wonderful? I miss it so much. We live about two hours away now but w also have other lakes etc by us now. I miss the days of living at the beach. One of these days I will convince my husband to quit his job and move back to the beach
