I know I am over a month late publishing this but we are moved in to our new home and got most of our stuff unpacked now. Hubby didn't work for the first couple weeks we were here so that took away from my Gather time, plus due to Madeline being so busy and me suffering from morning, or should I say ALL DAY sickness, I am still not able to be back on like I was before we moved.. I am still busy getting our new house in order, and we have quite a few boxes that need unpacked but they are all in the basement and most are way to heavy for me to even attempt to carry upstairs to unpack.
But I started this photo essay a couple weeks ago and never did get it published, so I figured I might as well go ahead and get it done. I also have a half finished photo essay of our move that I need to publish as well..
We went to the beach on the 4th of July. It was our last trip before we moved back to IL. We left FL on the 7th.
We went along with some friends, some of which actually moved to TN a week after we moved back here to IL. We all had a great time, especially Madeline and I tried to get as many pics as I could of our last beach trip. I also found TONS of sharks teeth, but I didn't take a pic of them all and sadly right now I do not know where they are and think I might have accidentally left them in FL.
Here are some of the pics from our 4th of July. If you can't tell by the pics Madeline loves her cowgirl hat!

those posts withthe orange tape behind Madeline are turtle nests. They have them marked off and numbered so that they can keep track of the number of eggs, and the number of turtles that hatch. It is against the law to mess with the turtle nests, and during nesting season you are also not allowed to have bright lights out past the beach at night, because the turtles follow the reflection of the moon to find the water when the hatch and if there are lights they will follow those. So any resorts and hotels that are on beaches cannot have any sort of lighting facing outward of the beach or it will confuse the turtles and places can be fined for this. Baby turtles have been found swimming around in hotel pools when places have been negligent and left lights on, and the turtles also can get into the road and run over.

and in the tree up by the picnic tables where we had lunch.

Thanks for looking at and reading my photo essay!

For some reason now that I am looking at the pics they seem a bit grainy though.. Not sure why.
You've got a beautiful collection of ocean photos. Loved all of them. Your daughter is adorable too.
What beach in Florida was this? It looks pretty and deserted.
Bobbi~ It is Blind Pass Beach, it is near Englewood, FL. There were quite a few people at the beach, but we had been dropped off at this spot and then our friend rode his bike back down, so most people weren't as far down as us, or they would have had to walk a ways. It is the spot we would go to whenever we went with our friends, and it was nice because there usually weren't many people right there..
