On a whim Sunday night, since we are moving in a week, we decided to take a trip to the beach.
So at 6:30pm we were rushing around to get our suits on, the beach bag packed and the fishing poles ready. Then we still had to stop and get gas, and some bait.
Most of the way it rained and we kept seeing lightening. We were starting to fear that our trip might have been a waste, but we kept going. When we got to the beach around 7:30 the sun was peaking out from behind the clouds.
David fished and I walked around the beach with Madeline taking pics and looking for sharks teeth. There were several Great Egrets on the beach watching all the fishers, and waiting to get ahold of their catch. Maddie kept saying bird and running after them, so of course I had to run too to catch her. Not that the Egrets would have let her near enough but I needed to keep her close by me.
Here are a few pics from our beach trip.
Raindrops on our windshield as we stopped for gas. We were beginning to worry that when we got to the beach we wouldn't be able to get out of the car..

When we arrived we parked right next to some Sea Grapes:

The sun was beginning to set as we got there:

Little bitty footprints in the sand

Maddie likes to sit on anything that is the right size for sitting, lol. So I just new if I got her near these posts on the beach that she would sit on one:

I had to put her on one at first, and she got right back off of it, but then went and climbed on herself, lol.

A great Egret that Maddie kept trying to chase along the beach:

Another sky shot, just as we were leaving,

and a real quick family shot before we went home. I wish it would have turned out better, I had to do some adjusting of this one to make it not so dark.

Thanks for coming along on our beach adventure :)

I love the picture of the raindrops on the windshield and the one with the unripe sea grapes. I assume this is Florida?
