For anything human I belive Jo and that is a common misconception Netty, they told me that too but I won't lie to you, hot is hot no matter where you are, lol, and it's just getting started! When it's 120 out you won't find any people out when it's daylight, lol!

Ayups, it's HOT all right, and it's just gettin started. We don't actually self combust, first our brain fries, then we melt of course. When you open your front door once it's truly summer, the air just punches ya in the nose, no lie

We moved down here from CT. Cold and damp. Snow and ice. Drab winters, wet springs, cold to the core. Everyone told us we'd never stay. It's been 16 years and we still love it. And it's not alway a "dry heat". The July and August monsoons are brutal. Temp over 100 and higher humidity. But then, who goes outdoors? Just like up north, when it's cold and blustery you stay by the fire. Here when it's hot and sticky, we stay by the AC. (And we don't have those oil bills to pay.)

Oh, it's in the 100's now all right and by the AC I stay, lol!! True though that I do NOT miss the $250 a month heating bills of Detroit one little bit, spose these 3 months are most definitely worth the 9 months of bliss we get!

I was near Phoenix in late May last year. I enjoyed the heat but am sure after a few months of no let up I might find it to be too much.

We generally only do that when the sun isn't out, lol, lately all the people have been venturing out their doors and scurrying like ants here and there to get supplies as we've been granted that rare break - temps only in the lower 90's all week, can't last!!

lol It actually was in my opinion just a wee bit early for such nonsense, though at this point none of us would complain about such temps., is a rare and cool day now to only be in the 90's, come on Monsoon!! For 9 months of the year I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, is paradise, then for 3 months of the year I just can't stand it! Who was the first one to arrive in the middle of a freakin desert and decide, ooo, this is a good place, let's poor some cement down and live here!! Sheez.....talk about oppressive, and is as abandoned cause no one goes out that can help it except when is dark, praises to the AC! I've driven through S. Texas several times but never truly hung out, but from the looks of it you don't get many cooling breezes either!! Oh, well.....It's always something!!
