-- finding THIS in my front yard yesterday was better than receiving a whole HEAP of Christmas presents, birthday presents, Valentines and Easter eggs at once!

And, NOW, look upon it! Savor the moment while visions of summer breezes waft through your mind!

BEHOLD!!!

THOSE, my erstwhile and esteemed Gather friends are the leaves of my daffodils in the front yard PUSHING THEIR WAY up towards the SUN!!

I'm talking "SPRING" here, my friends!! Not yet, of course, but ALMOST!

(**sigh**) Gee I LOVE this photo!!

Mine are comming up too. They always bloom in February. My favorite flower is the daffodil. They are beautiful and smell so sweet and they always announce that spring is just around the corner.

Daffodils in January....oh, how I wish! We still have a ton of snow out there and the kids are ice-skating on the pond. When I awoke this morn it was 3 below zero. Brrrrrr.....

I love daffodils! I'm trying to look forward to spring, but I do love the winters here in Florida. It's chilly, but never bitter cold, and that suits me fine!

I have an amaryllis that somebody gave me years ago... It needed repotting and I divided it into 2 pots -- both of which bloomed right away. I sold one years ago and kept the other one and, even though it has nice dark green leaves all the time, it's never bloomed for me since! Weird...

Hi, Julie!!! :o) While you down in FLA have a "sub-tropical" climate, we here in Northern California have what's referred to as a "Meditteranean climate". Dry summers -- often with night and early morning fog -- and wet winters with overnight temperatures rarely going below the high 20s -- max.
