The Splendors of Fall and Autumn Foliage

Fall is almost here!

The colors are already showing in West Virginia and I am sure that they are showing even more so further north.

Fall is a very special time of year as the wonderful colors are only here for a short period and then bleak cold and grey winter sets in.

Make the most of the fall season and play as much as you can before it gets too cold.
How long has it been since you raked up a pile of leaves and instead of grumbling about it just dove into them and rolled around with your kids!

Here are some of my fall pictures to help you fall in love with Fall!

I really hope that the colors stay for a while this year and that they are vibrant as ever.

If we get a lot of rain and wind then the leaves will drip fast but if it is a little dry then we will have some beautiful displays.

Wow. Your trees have are changing fast down there. Those are some good shots. Our trees are still 95 percent green near me. Only a little bit of brown speckles here and there.

Fall is my favorite time of the year, and it is the season when I miss the midwest the most. I live in Arizona now and absolutely love it, but the autumn colors are not nearly as grand. Of course, you can find pockets of it, so I don't have to do without. Love your photo essay and I've featured it in my Fall/Wintertime; Time for Harvest and Snuggling Near the Fire group.

Wow, what fantastic photos of the changing leaves! I think fall is the most incredible season of the year, and I just love when the leaves change colors! Here in Iowa, we have incredible beautiful colors when the trees start changing....some of our trees have already started, but the majority haven't. We live not too far from the Bridges of Madison County..........over there, the trees are just breathtaking........I could NOT imagine living somewhere without the changing trees in fall!
This is truly my favorite time of year!

Very nice. I haven't noticed much change in PA yet. Drove through Ohio this weekend and didn't see much there either. Next weekend we head through the central part of PA, which is usually the best chance we get to see fall colors. Hopefully they'll be good, but due to the dry weather we had for the latter part of the summer I'm not sure if it's going to be that great a year.
