We saw so many gorgeous flowers in Greece. There were twining arbors of climbing roses and profusions of pink and red vining blooms, but there were also wild poppies growing along the roadsides and random blossoms in unexpected places. I could hardly walk to the cafe down the road from where we were staying without stopping to take pictures of every yard.
The pink crinkled petals of one particular flower reminded me of the taffeta dresses from a summer wedding. In defiance of the heat, the delicate flowers grew in impossible numbers everywhere we looked.
From rich yellow roses to simple white daisies, Greece was awash in color. The most enjoyable aspect of the nature show was the thick floral scent wafting through the air.
