Albany Tulip Festival

The Albany, NY Tulip Festival is held annually the weekend of Mother's Day in May.  Over 200,000 tulips are planted in Washington Park for viewers to come see.  Craft vendors and performers fill the park to display their talents and food vendors line the streets to satisfy our appetites.

Each year tulips are planted that flower before Mother's Day, which are then dug up and replaced by more tulips that are meant to flower for the festival.  I decided to beat the crowds and take an early stroll through Washington Park to capture the tulips in all their glory.  I took over 100 photos... here are some of my favorites.  Enjoy!

If you happen to be near Albany the weekend of Mother's Day weekend check it out.  The festival runs Friday the 9th through Sunday the 11th.
