Gather Writing Essentials. Wednesday, October 28th, 2009
Use the following prompts:
Use a word that most readers would have to look up in the dictionary.
Reference a religious holiday
Write as 3rd person omniscient
A telephone needs to ring
Tag with WWE
Ring, ring,
Hello goes the telephone
Hands touch, grasp,
Crawl, feeble as they may for the vibration,
A stone cold hard reality
Of no one home.
Dive, survive, be alive,
Sweat, persevere, pledge to be near.
Christmas is nigh
Feel the bite, the release.
Proportionate to the cause.
We fly, we die,
We live again.

EXCELLENT book...
I like the way you did this, mostly because it's different and the last two lines really make you think. I was expecting all prose from this prompt, no idea why and here I find this, an unexpected gem!

Thanks for posting to Gather Writing Essentials.
Happy Halloween!
Thank you for stopping by Joe Hinostro's page to give another fellow writer some encouragement, by the way.
It's no problem. He's great.
