Sorry if that offends anyone, but there it is. He is our duly elected future President. He is as American as you or me, he does not even have Schwarzenegger's accent. As far as I can tell, he was not elected by massive fraud or by the decision of the Supreme Court. Yup he was born in Hawaii and yup there is a birth certificate, but I am sorry for typing that because it probably hurts your feelings. Others may chase chain letters through the 'net, or ransack the conservative press for somebody's forged birth certificate from Indonesia or wherever. As for me, I have got better things to do for the next four years.
If you really want to spend the next four years in disbelief of reality, feel free. There is a certain Gather member today who will appreciate your help in getting over 400 readers of her post, and over 50 comments on it. I believe that this is a free country so nobody is going to tell you how to spend your time. What's that, it's not a free country? Obama is busy plotting a clean sweep of all the gun stores? Obama is busily arming a private militia to take over on January 21? Obama has located Osama bin Laden and has offered him the chairmanship of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?
Have a nice day, people. Oh by the way, I left the ratings feature turned on so keep those "1" ratings flowing.

I know that Obama is our new president so that is what we have and I am sure that he is going to do the best job that he is allowed to do. I think Obama has his work cut out for him and I am sure he is going to do a good job. Most presidents do some good and they do some bad. Everyone is human.
We have to give Obama a chance love him or not.
I am pretty sure that if he had some sort of non-eligibility to be president, the credential checker would have found that out by now. Lets just say Obama is our new president and he obviously qualified.
Tracey- thank you for your civility and for representing McCain voters here! And thank you for giving Obama a chance to prove himself. If he screws up bigtime, you have earned your right to complain, and I will welcome it if you do.
Gloria- my spleen does feel much bettter, thanks!
There were too many powerful people who had reason to want Obama to be ineligible to be President to believe that one of them would have found out if he had not been born in the United States, so I don't think you need to worry about anybody discovering he was not born in the United States.
We are first and formost Americans and as Americans we have the best chances of coming back together and doing this. I just hope that since we have a one party controlled government that they use this not to 'take over' but instead to repair the nation!
I do not agree with Obama, but he is my leader and I will give him the honor and respect that he is entitled too. I will watch him and congress and oppose them when I feel that they are wrong, but not just because they are of a different party. Also they will have my prayers as they have had for years. Personally I agree with many here, I could care less where a president is born, but more with what can they do. I would not want the job, Obama can have it!!!
WHy can't people just accept the truths instead of having to make stuff up just to try and get everyone else on board with their beliefs..
I'm glad to see there are people willing to be open-minded whether they supported President-elect Obama or not.
Until I know - without any doubt that Obama has satisfactory - is in accordance with the U.S. Constitution of that of being "A NATURAL BORN" citizen – in my view. He is not a legit President.
With the on going suits - and that Obama will not release the “VAULT” birth certificate and other documents to which the courts are now demanding.
Well?
“I voted MCCAIN”. And I VOTED FOR BUSH / AND BEING A STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN.
And his supporters should be the ones who care the most!
Because if he won this election not being properly vetted, and proving he is who he says he is and born where he says he was born, then he's committing fraud.
