Last week, I was tutoring chemistry online, and we were discussing subatomic particles and their respective charges.
I tend to type quickly since there is a spell-check installed with the software I use, but this statement got through to the student when I was trying to correct them on electrons:
"Actually, elections have a negative charge."
Oops! Maybe I need to keep the tv and internet off for the next couple of weeks (just kidding, I want to stay informed). What do you think?
Just for the record, I immediately corrected my statement - please don't accuse me of trying to corrupt America's youth :)
