Gather Friends

I wonder how many members are on Gather? How many friends do you guys have in your profile? I've been using Gather alot more than I used to this last month. Seems like I could go on adding friends forever. Is adding new friends something you do daily on Gather?

I had not checked my total in a while, but I just did and I have 271 friends. For a while I was not adding many new friends. But now that they have that add a friend feature on the home page, I find myself adding one or two new friends a day. I don't know if you can have too many friends on here or not.

I know at first I intended to make sure I visited each of my friends every month, but there was no way I could keep up with it. I do have a small group of my most regular friends that I do try to view more of their stuff. For the others, I just catch as much as I can from the feeds.

Hi Rhonda~ Iam not sure how many I have. I know it is over 400. Not near as many as some may have. Since around July, I've been adding more. I have been taking notice. When Iam commenting on someone's submission. I'll click over to their profile to see if we are connected. If not, I'll send them out a request. I hadnt realized just how many I thought were on my friends list. I guess I was just seeing their submissions, via a group we are part of... lol

It is too hard to comment on everyone in my friend's list. Iam trying to do better. Now that we have DSL.. What a difference it has made..
I think I am at 505 friends here at Gather, I add them as the requests come in......

Last time I checked, I think it was in the 300 area. Though I'm sure many are not active anymore, but haven't gone through the list to clean house so to say in a couple of years.
I don't get all that many invites, but there are very few I have declined I would say. The ones I have declined are mostly marketing type ones that want to sell something, but don't write or contribute anything else.

284 friends. I accept all invites and invite the members of my group. Or if there is something compelling they have written that I enjoy.

I don't add friends daily but I do often. Only when they ask me to be friends and then I really review their profiles. Good friends are hard to come by. Can not have too many!  PIF
