I remember the day Spencer was born like it was yesterday. I could not wait for each and every milestone for him to achieve. The first time he held his head up, rolled over, first words and of course his first steps. As a new parent I eagerly awaited each and every moment. Spence of course was an only child for almost 8 years. Then along came Justin. With Justin things were different. Don't get me wrong. I loved them both more than anything in this world. I just wanted Justin to stay little a little while longer. I wasn't in such a hurry for Justin to take those first steps. My answer was he will walk when he is ready. And of course he did. I don't know what is about the 2nd one, maybe it is because I knew Justin would be the last child I would give birth too. For example when Spencer started his first day of kindergarten I cried because my little boy was growing up. When Justin started his first day I cried for the same reasons and also because I knew this was the last child I would be putting on the school bus for the first time. I know it sounds a little silly. So I am sure by now everyone is saying why are you writing all of this? Well Justin lost is very first tooth tonight! We were at my friend Jessica's house and Justin's friends Cam's eating dinner when Justin told Jessica there was a seed in his apple. He then spit out the seed. Jessica said Justin that's your tooth! He was so excited! The next word out of his mouth was I have to call Mrs. Evans and tell her. That was his kindergarten teacher. She told the kids when they loose there first tooth they were ready for first grade. So of course he had to let her know he was ready!
So you see even though I am happy for him for loosing his tooth I am a little sad because he is growing up. I love the age he is at right now. He still loves to cuddle and will hold my hand in public. : )
Kids just grow so fast. Before we know it they are off and on there on and if we are lucky they call home a few times a week to say hi. The best we can hope for is that the time we had with them we did our job and they grow up to be amazing and caring adults.

we are raising the next generation of men
and like you said we want them to be caring and good people
that is a cute photo,i remember that stage, mine lost his teeth in first grade only
and we kept them, where are they now?
his teeth were very bad because i spoiled him with ice cream when he was a toddler
and now his adult teeth are so beautiful
i think they grow up at their own pace but mine is also the youngest and yes, i can relate,
we already had the first day of school, many first times, and now it is the last day of second grade already
i certainly enjoy the last one because i feel the time is passing by
i am also the last child and i understand how easy it is to cling to them and hold them there a bit longer but they rebel and grow up non the less
those little people are facinating
and I thought this was really sweet, " love the age he is at right now. He still loves to cuddle and will hold my hand in public. : )"
(because I secretly do too!)
It amazes me the changes I see in my niece each time I see her.
Oh and wow the tooth fairy has really increased her payout since I was a kid. lol
