Miracle # 335

My reading last week in A Course in Miracles was Lesson 335 in the workbook or students: "I choose to see my borther's sinlessness." I often tend to gloss over the titles and head for the "meat" of the lessons, but this lesson came at the perfect time, and it's title became the perfect mantra against a creeping resentment. I found myself needing to control my unpleasant and resentful thoughts about someone, and like a blessing, I remenbered this and could use it. That's a miracle.

Normally, my reading barely registers, and I often think I don't have the ability to practice the presence of God. This reading, like the entire book, has proven again that all I need to do is show up (by reading it regularly) and give my consent to be changed.

It's nice to know something that works. I've wanted to change myself, my actions, my feelings, thoughts, and habits for as long as I can remember. I was suicidal shortly before I began reading ACIM. I really did buy the book as a last resort, if this didn't work, I was going to give up completely. Within a few weeks, I began to have a different outlook. I haven't been anything like suicidal in about 300 days. That's a miracle!
