I found a tidbit in an article from the 2000 presidential election that made me remember why I used to have great respect for John McCain. Back when he was a maverick:
Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley recently revealed plans to reduce corporate welfare by $125 billion, providing a "hit list" of unnecessary business breaks. Republican candidate John McCain followed by outlining plans to eliminate $30 billion in corporate welfare.
