Secrets
A drop of silence.
A long road into conscience.
Fear is frightened.
My whispers moist the mirror,
I have been talking to; lips move.
A sweep with my hand reveals me,
at least partially; eyes, nose…
The broken images look like
an unborn soul with unfulfilled
desire, to be born and thrive.
My wishes, of reversing time
and walk backwards to the root,
set me alight; I see secrets
being destroyed in that fire.

.Love
Love, in the time war
has not spared
a single deserted heart.
While bleeding to death
still love escapes
to some moonland
nonexistent.
politics of love
knows theories, so strange.

Fantastic and intriguing. Featured in The Poet's Circle. Thank you for posting.
I love the imagery in these poems!
The first depicts a man with a broken spirit. The second says, there is hope.
I felt the same way as William.
How intressting, thanks for the share, it was kind of refreshing. =D
Walking back to the root.....don't we all wish we could do that.....Good stuff and thanks for sharing it .
Love and self concept--eternally interlocked.
Absolutely, John.

Most clever thing said on me. I am bowing and honored.
I like the mirror metaphor in your first poem, although I was somewhat surprised to see fire appear at the end.
I think you are trying to get at something pretty deep and complex in your second poem, but it's eluding me so far.
Thank you for posting this to the Surreal Circus. Congratulations on your feature in The Poets' Circle.
You never fail to get me thinking!
Both of them are interesting and soul-stirring... bravo, my dear friend! :-)
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Those are lovely, especially the second one.
Beautiful poems Poddar, don't we all burn our secrets in our internal furnaces, while love is a solace, no matter how it ends.
Love is the last refuge for loneliness. First it shelters the heart and then breaks it, strewing pieces over the cobblestones roads of history.
Your perception is intense.
I liked the way William interpreted this piece of writing. Intense and deep, thought provoking
The secret is love oneself first. Then, the rest will come.
Lovely poem!
