Drive into a neighborhood, look for pedigree dogs running loose. Pick them up and take them home. Wait for the reward signs to go up around that neighborhood. Call and collect the reward. Or if your reward is not big enough they will sell the dog.
Another one that is happening in our neighborhood. Vacant homes are being vandalized. Removal of heaters, air conditioners, and water heaters, also kitchen sinks and cabinets are being removed.
There is one other, the parents teach their children to steal toys and small items from the stores. Then the parents sell these items over the internet.
A family was caught here. The two young boys break into the store at night. Steal what they can. Dad is parked down the street. If he sees the police, he drives away.
These may not be new to your neighborhood, but they are to our town.

It's scary to think that parents are teaching their kids to steal.
Another thing that is lucrative to steal from construction sites and vacant homes is copper - they'll rip out wiring or steal rolls of it, and copper pipe...
I've heard of no crimes like that (or period) here.
Sad about the animals, that aren't claimed, whole thing sad.
I see parents encouraging their children to steal all the time. I guess they figure the child won't get a lot of jail time if they are caught.
