Good Morning Gather

Good Sunday morning to all and may God bless.

I have a headache to beat the band, not sure why.  I've been waking up with headaches the last few days.  They subside after a while usually after a cup of coffee.  Maybe I'm drinking too much.  umm coffee.  Perhaps should cut back to just the morning coffee and leave the afternoons out. 

The weather channel promises an actual summer day with temperatures going into the 90s.... We shall see.   We've not had to turn the air on all summer.  Which one would think would have saved our electric bill.   However, for some unfathomable reason, we appear to be using more electricity than we did last year.  I really don't get it, do three ceiling fans use more electricity than a central air unit?  Apparently so.

Not much going on with me...  what for you?

Good morning, Nancy, and may God bless you too! It sure sounds like the source of your headaches is the caffeine, unless you're drinking decaf ~ in which case I can't explain them. It hasn't been a real warm summer here either ~ no air needed. My daughter's here with her two boys this weekend so I haven't been Gathering much (so much to catch up on). I haven't got long so I'll bid you a good day! =)

I know the cost of electricity has gone up significantly here - maybe the same thing happened where you are?

Actually I wasn't looking at the cost so much as the khw usage. The way I read it, we are using more kwh than we did last year, but we didn't have the air on. I found that very strange. Maybe I just do not understand how the whole thing works.

That is odd! We've decreased our power usage by at least 10 KWH/day, but our bill has remained about the same.
Morning and I haven't even gone to bed yet? Ack!

Wow, I'm not even drinking coffee... diet lime pepsi...

I've gotten the same headache (which turns out, is hereditary, so I actually can't blame it on anything) since age 11, everyone did on my Dads' side of the family.

OK, time for my nap, be back in a few.

We turn our A/C on in the spring and don't turn it off till fall - we see a decrease in our bill. Why? Because the A/C doesn't have to work really at all to keep things cool - they already are and it clicks down to just fan when the air conditioning part isn't needed...my cousin told me that it worked that way years ago, but I didn't believe him until I actually tried it. The electricity, gas, you-name-its, are going up, up and more up though, that's nobodies imagination!

good morning nancy...sorry to hear about your headaches.... I hope they are not migranes. If so, the gather group recommended excedrin for mine...and it went away immediatley.

sadly because of high blood pressure, I can only take tylanol. But it is mostly gone. I think a lot of it is my sinuses... bleck

I will have to look into the rinse, though I've been thinking about a netty pot for a while. Just haven't gotten one yet. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good morning Nancy. If you sneeze several times and have to blow your nose (after you get up) and the headache stops. That is sinuses. That is what happens to me and my son. They drain and give you relief. If not, I don't know what it can be. Have a good day.

I have the same problem with coffee...sometimes without realizing it i start to drink so much i get headaches if i don't have it. I find I get headaches when it gets muggy out too. I hope you feel better soon!

Afternoon! If you're having a lot offreaky weather patterns in your area, the berometric pressure change could be causing your headaches.

Good afternoon, Nancy! It's been scorching hot here in Texas. Where I live, we've been hitting 100+! Ouchies! While I was in the hospital, I had my room set to 70 degrees! LOL

It was warmer here today BUT just as cloudy and then it started to rain. We hung out after brunch, and then Steve & I drove to the farmers market for a few things. Originally I wanted to go to the U-Pick farm and pick some tomatoes and zucchini BUT the weather was awful so we stayed home for alittle while and then we went to the market. We came home and hung out the rest of the day. I made a simple chicken dinner and then I got to play on the computer the rest of the evening.

We are expecting the nicest day of the summer tomorrow - in the 90's. I hope my tomatoes and chiles enjoy it.
