Nothing To Say (Poem)

I have been trying to get back into writing for a while, but I just haven't been able to do it. There have been a lot of things going on in my personal life, and as a result even the simplest tasks seem daunting. This poem is my first attempt at writing, so please be gentle with your critiques. It was intended to be light-hearted and a little silly.

Ideas whirl and swirl and dance in my mind
But a coherent thought I can no longer find.
My fingers are poised, ready to strike a key
But the blank screen just sits and mocks me.
So I reach in the desk for a pen and notebook
And I stare at the page with a perplexed kind of look.
Words will not flow no matter what I try
So I guess it's time now to just say good-bye.
I will be back when I think of something to say
But for now I will bid you all a "Good day!".

It's a cute poem. ^_^ I can definitely relate to the feeling of not being able to write, but wanting to write...lol. Happens to me all the time.

Psh, I don't know what you mean by "on the fly". It takes me at least a week to think of something that might actually work with a poem and then it takes me hours and hours to actually write it. xD That's why i don't write them very often. :P

Yeah, you are just being modest. I have seen you sit down and just write stuff, and it is beautiful. You might modify it here and there, but that usually happens as writing evolves. I am so proud of you, and you are a very talented writer. You should not sell yourself short, Baby-doll. :-P
