I definitely would want this kid to get a lot of therapy, locked away from society, but the death penalty is not meant for 16 year olds.
There wasn't any mention of drugs, but I can't imagine anyone sane and sober acting out like this.
An eye for an eye, etc is uncivilized and barbaric.
No civilized country in the world allows the death penalty.

Good luck!
The death penalty was meant for murderers. If the baby dies that is exactly what he is. I don't care if he is 16 he knows striking a 2 year old in the head is wrong. To me there are no worse crimes then those committed aganist innocent children.
agreed that something needs to be done ... it sounds as if this happened on more than one occasion.. but if we get into blaming the mother, what about the neighbors, friends, and family who also knew this was going on and did not do a thing about it.. they are just as liable.
That poor little boy. very sad
i hope he gets life.
It might still had happen even with the above - but why – here lately have we’ve been seeing an increase in deaths in young children? Be it by another’s hand or suicide?
Where has the parents been during this relation? How has this child been raised?
It’s truly a bad situation for not only this child but for all who have children.
I’m for the death penalty – but not for this....
Allot of things need to be considered as to how this case should be judged.
One big reason: Home life – What parents did this child or lack thereof had in his life and if there were any previous problems that Child Services overlooked?
To blame only the child in this would not be justice – the woman to whom he had this relationship is much as guilty – if not more than this child.
