Why Was This News Delayed?

Spc Christopher Young 25, from Patterson, MO
is charged with maiming a child. Why?
Pulaski County arrested him last month, He is being held at Fort Knox, KY
He is accused with shaking and striking a child, causing loss of hearing, blindness, and a permanent feeding tube.
This happened in Sept, he was served on Sept 30. It was just now Oct 24, in the paper.

There are so many unanswered questions.
Where was the mother? What age is the child?
Why did he beat the child?

My husband is a Crime Scene Investigator and last week he worked a case where a child might die.

It sickens me beyond words, when I hear of something like this. I cannot imagine anyone harming a child in such a horrid way. I cannot see any punishment being justice enough for such a hidious crime.
I to would like to know why it was reported so late.

Noting that he was military might be an excuse for the delay. Often when there is negative news about a military person information gets very tight.

This waste of skin being a GI has nothing to do with it. Sometimes there is a reluctance to run such news for fear of incomplete info or maybe relatives have some pull. If found guilty, he should be shot.

breaks my heart in pieces. I work with abused and neglected children....it is just so sad the things some people do to children. I think perpatrators of this crime should be hung up and killed. =(

This is sickening and tragic. They probably did not put anything in the paper because the courts did not want him coming back and saying the jury was already prejudiced against him. This way when they sentence him he has no reason to appeal.
