Alter Your Pics Challenge Group

Each week a challenge prompt will be issued. Use photoshop or any other photo editing program to alter your photos. Don't be concerned with skill. Imagination and creativity will weigh heavily in the judging and hopefully we will improve our skills as we have fun.This is a moderated group and only your altered photos or articles containing your altered photos will be accepted for the challenge. Each week you will receive two emails from this group, one to announce the winners and one to announce the new prompt.Please submit your own work only. No nudity or adult themed please.

The first week"s theme is FLOWERS. Your photo should have a flower or flowers in it (or you put some in it.)
Make it wild, or lovely or funny or frightening. Who knows?

The deadline for the first challenge is Friday June 6, 11:59 PM EDT

Kay,

Even though I joined the group, I haven't a clue how to alter pics other than cropping them.

I've seen my nieces and nephews do it on my photo editing software, and just looked in awe as they played with things, but I? Nope. Lost, lost, lost.

Plus, the little buggers ran off with my photoediting CD. I guess that's okay, since the software is already on my computer, huh?

I would but that would be cheating :-) The thing to do with your photo editing software is be fearless. You can't hurt anything. Just push buttons, play around and experiment. Even if you don't want to submit photos yourself you might enjoy seeing what these creative and imaginative Gather folks come up with.

Forgot to add that my husband, my son's girlfriend who is a photography major, and my son who just likes looking at cool pictures, have agreed to help with judging.

I didn't join because I don't do much, if any, altering to my photos nor am I a graphic arts wiz. Cool idea for a group though!

Great idea....but one question..do we write in the caption what we changed the picture or what program we used?

You can write anything you like in the caption Sandy. You can give your picture a name. This is just so that if you submit more than one photo I can give each a distinct identifier.

This is a cool idea for a group. I may have to try and figure out how to alter pics one of these days. I'm not very creative though.

Although I'm not a member, I don't think you should accept pictures of dandelions. They are evil and cover my lawn.
