4/24/08 Thursday evening after I fed Kyleigh dinner, I was cleaning up in the kitchen while she was walking around me.
We had a couple of plants in the kitchen near the French door, and a tin watering can on the floor near the plants. The watering can was nearly full because I had recently refilled it.
When I looked over, I found Kyleigh squatting near one of the plants. She was tilting the watering can to water the plants. She was actually doing it just fine, but I was too nervous so I called out and told her not to touch the watering can. Unfortunately, I startled her and she just let loose her hands. The watering can fell flat on the floor, and the water just poured out.
I rushed over to pick up the watering can, and Kyleigh was trying to stand up. Since the floor was wet and covered in water, she slipped and fell on her belly. Her clothes were all wet and she was complaining. I was busy grabbing the paper towels and rags to suck up the water, while she attempted to stand up again. As soon as she stood up, she slipped on water and fell again. Except this time, she seemed to think that it was funny.
That went on for a couple more times, so I finally picked her up and put her down on the carpeted area in the living room. I told her to stay there and not to come in the kitchen. Kyleigh stood at the edge of the kitchen just outside of the living room boundary, and watched me mopping the floor with a big smile on her face. She walked onto the water again, despite me saying "No". Of course, she slipped and fell again, so I lifted her up and put her back to the living room.
Kyleigh was still laughing at me and attempting to come into the kitchen. But I finally got the water spillage under control. Then I changed her clothes and she wasn't too happy about that.
When I told my husband about this, he was very amused and commented that I should have taken a video (of Kyleigh slipping and falling in the water puddle). Well, I wish he could have helped. It's funny now but wasn't funny then.
Needless to say, the watering can will stay on top of the counter for a while.

Water's better than a mud puddle, maybe? :-))
I found a typo and corrected it.
