Day 14 (last Friday) was unadventurous. I was there too late and the day time teachers had left, so I really didn't get much information about what happened during the day.
Monday morning there was a new development. When I dropped Kyleigh off, she did not cry for me. One teacher took Kyleigh from me and I went to the kitchen area to drop off her milk, banana, and the linens. When I turned around, she was sitting with the teacher and other kids. She seemed to enjoy reading the books and did not look for me. I didn't want to call out her attention, so I sneaked out.
This morning it was even better. When I dropped her off, it was snack time. The teacher asked her if she wanted to have some snacks, and seated her at the table. After I put away her milk, she was looking directly at me. Since there was no way for me to "sneak out", I waved at her and said, "Bye-bye!" In response, she smiled! She smiled at me and waved good-bye back to me.
I think she started to like this day care.
