I honestly did not mind the update, but...

When the update was pushed, I was a bit confused at the layout for about 10 minutes. It was easy enough for me to figure it out. Since then, I've given it a week, expecting to enjoy it by now, or at least like it a little.

Honestly, all I've noticed is that I spend a lot less time here, I get a lot more spam emails, and I can't find crap- even though I know HOW to find it.

I am begining to just generally dislike it a bit more each day. I don't outright detest it, I don't think it's some big consipracy theory, but I just don't enjoy being on Gather anymore like this. :(

I feel a lot like you, you CAN navigate it it just isn't as easy, and I like it less each time I get on and have to ~navigate~ to get thru to where I want to go instead of just going there

I feel it is something we can live with,, it is sort of like this polictal crap we going thru now,, they are going to do or so anything they want us to believe, then do what they want.

You have to sign out, sign in and then go to redeem them. It's a pain in the tuckas!

That pretty much sums up my experience. I hate pressing "My Gather" - now I just search for things to read by going to the main Gather articles section. That's how I found you, in fact.

Me too. I may actually be logged on all day, but I'm not really here. Sometimes when I get here, I look at the page and think, "It's too much trouble." And I go somewhere else.

It is no fun any more! It takes too long to do anything. Really I don't bother much because it is agravating, not enjoyable.

Vivian - OUch! I hope you saw this and weigh in there with whatever suggestions you may have about this and/or other issues. I am still (banging head against wall) trying to improve Gather, perhaps stupidly and naively:

Management has made it very clear, on many occasions, that they don't give a flying cluck about members. Since their only interest is in their bottom line, meaning advertising revenue from sucker companies that think they're getting an "adult" demographic, the best way to defeat their purpose is to BLOCK THE ADS. Install Mozilla Firefox (or some other program that offers a similar feature), plug in the AdBlock Plus application and voila! nice white space where the annoying flashing adult diaper ads used to appear! No ads=no clicks=no revenue for the gather leeches who live off our efforts. They'll listen when the money stops!
