Today, points came slow- more like a snails pace, really. The new update probably caused a bit of a glitch.

I have posted:

3 Articles (4, counting this one)
1 Video
40 comments
5-6 pages of image & article ratings without comments

I started the day with 5,942 points.

I am finishing out the day with 5,977 points.

 

Here's hoping tomorrow I'll have 6,000!

Upgrades do tend to come with some glitches. :)
Yikes! I have seen others mention that they have not received any points today, or very few. I made a big whopping dollar today~
I'm not sure how comments effect the article's points- Tom said (whether true or not) that comments don't earn points for the person leaving the comments. However, that seems false, I think. I go many ays only leaving comments and doing ratings, and still get points while doing it. It could be page views that do it, but I don't know.

My points were frozen until this afternoon. I had the same total that I had last night before the upgrade. They have been slowly catching up and I've received over 100 points so far for the day.

I haven't seen any change in my earnings today, but I have not been on much either. I have been working on ChaCha and BT, and the earnings go much faster over there.
Marianne- mine were the same. I didn't get a point until probably early evening.

My points actually seem to be accumulating faster. I was only on for about 30 minutes and didn't do much but look around on gather to see what people are writing about and earned close to 20 points.

no more chatting and gaming for points...that's not all together bad, but I like the connection of conversation...that comes from multiple comments

I think people will still chat and game, just to keep busy. It's a popular past time on most forum boards that don't give points. But, hopefully it will end generic comments people just copy and past into 75 pages of articles and images. ;)

Gather stated earlier today that Gather Point earnings are not displaying properly for some/most/all members. Points ARE being earned, they just aren't updating on your 'My Gather' page as they should.

Don't worry though, once it is working again your point total will be credited for all of your community activity. :-)

No more points for comments? That is sad. Some days I put a lot of effort into comments and not copy and paste comments either.

Is there any place that says exactly all the changes that took place?

My points have been slow in coming too. I'm looking at it this way: this time when I cash out for a gift card, I'll have extra points left over when the credit my account with the points from the past couple of days!

My points have been coming easy today. I have not done a whole lot either. I left some comments and ratings, viewed a handfull of pictures, watched one video, and replied to some of the comments left on my stuff and I have gotten over 100 points since I went to bed this morning about 5:30-6:00am. All of these points have come after I posted my stuff last night/this morning? I have only had a few comments left on my stuff as well, so who knows? I just hope they keep coming like this and maybe I can get the cash offer this month.

It does seem odd that prior to the upgrades my points were adding up pretty quickly and now it is increasing in small increments. Hopefully, this helps you reach your goal.

I find it hard to believe that we would not get any p0ints for comments anymore. I seem to still be earning some.
