It is true and We the People need to do something about the hoarding of oil by the government while we get ripped of at the gas pump and on everything we buy.
Carter had massive pool of oil in Alaska capped and it has never been opened, Why? That well is on one of the Aleutian islands and is not near the North Slope.
The United States could be out of debt completely, pay back all the money owed to the SS and Medicare trusts and all but eliminate all taxes. If those wells were to be activated.
There is NO danger of the US running out of oil, not in the next 2-400 years.
Jerry Kays: I just watched the video. Very impressive. But again, I think we are slaves to the "system." We have no chance of doing anything while the current partisan political system operates. We have only the illusion of doing anything meaningful by our vote in this system of parties, which are part of that power structure.

Twenty years ago, I worked on a contract for DOE and had access to all of their numbers and estimates. I had to fudge my computer models to match what they wanted. The real data is totally different.

We need an "ELECTRICITY FUEL" WORLD and we need to develop the technological means to harness the sustainable and ample energy of our SUN and get it on to our EARTH in usable ways. When and if our SUN explodes and dies, we ALL will inevitably go to our eternal reward, and along with our STAR's departure we will all return to our natural state exemplified by the physics of the fact of 'conservation of energy' in our universe. That event is guessed to be at least a couple of BILLION YEARS away from us at this moment.
I read somewhere from some proponents of solar energy and solar cells using photo-voltaic means of generating electricity from the emisssions of our SUN, that if there were many square miles of properly installed solar panels on the Mohave desert (and other deserts of our WORLD) we would cease to have WORLD-WIDE problems of need for energy. THere would be no need to consider (1) nuclear energy, (2) coal, oil shales, oil, or natural gas as sources as fuels but they could be used for 'plastics' an 'fertilizers for food' and etc, etc. [AS a further prospect, the hydrogen economy could be wind-based transformation of water into oxygen AND Hydrogen, and 'wind-turbines' on land and on sea could facilitate this needed further development. Possibly more rapidly than solar panels].
Here -- NOW -- we need to get into the politics of new technological development options and I think that the need for massive collabration to develop such NEW sources (like solar panels, wind turbines, etc) can best be brought about like the Manhattan Project was brought into the atom-bomb game: by cooperation between our federal government and some key private contractors. Such developments need to be brought into usable being rapidly and the regular market-system may not be the way to do so. TIME IS TOO SHORT. Here is a radical problem for WE THE PEOPLE. Dick, you are far more familiar with the factors that you mention than I am ... and you may well be correct about the need now for a cleaner medium of energy usage ...
I personally have no doubt what-so-ever, that ample technology already exists ... just how many years has it been now since "they" stole the Tesla technology and have been able to improve upon it alone, not to mention so many "other" energy sources such as Zero Point Energy (ZPE) ... !?!

We each and all have been given the spiritual free-agency to continue playing "their" game their way, or changing it IF we can, or opting out completely via forfeiture of our freedom and/or even our lives.
It is ONLY through the experience I have had of the spiritual connection I have made, that I can with the confidence I have in my words, even begin to say these things. The charges I often make are too hard to "prove" in "normal" ways, the system is just too entrenched, and too well protected to be successfully challenged using "normal" objectivity.
What IS NEEDED is for the peoples who serve the system, actually in servitude, as slaves, to awake to their own spiritual potentials as I have done some 14 years ago ... to find the actual "salvation" in the Generic God of UNconditional Love and Truth ... to the degree that what comes naturally from that is an assurance of an eternal relationship that transcends earth life experience, one that will be the opposite of of "them, our present controllers.
I know, this sounds too much like "preaching" ... it does, and it is, sorry. But, it is also the truth ... IMnsHO.
Meanwhile, the people that will NOT awaken, must continue in these types of environments until they do choose to rise above it all ... when it comes to hurt enough they will do so of their own free accord, just as I did. My only purpose left (that I know of) in this life time is to warn and tell others what I have come to know ...
And that is that we here on earth do NOT have to live this way, under concepts that are so involved with physical powers of control, most importantly, the mental control wed have allowed through staying "confined" withIN the boxes of reality that they have "directed" us to "freely" construct around ourselves.
IF "those" folks REALLY cared for WE the PEOPLE, they would, because they surely could, do so much for us ... but they do NOT because the status quo better serves "them" ...
The promotion (through tax exemptions and media propaganda) of our religions even, who have also become over the ages hierarchically controlled and controlling institutions ... rather than the promotion of Generic (FREE) Spirituality (such as God gave to me ... and countless others) which would GIVE US the TRUTH that sets us FREE ... is ample proof of their desire for positions of continuing control for it's own sake and what it AFFORDS "them".
When the "time is right" (serves "their" interests best) different energy systems will be made available for our use ... but you can damn well bet that it will happen such that it will appear to have been "our idea" and/or by "our demand" ... and it will come when we have had enough of paying exorbitant costs of what we have, costs that have been manipulated by "them" to where we demand relief ... and most important ... "think" that we will be getting such relief even by paying hugely inflated prices for whatever replacement system takes the place of the present ... again, we will be offered options, continue paying what we cannot any longer afford ... or still paying, though somewhat less, for the replacement ... in any way, the controllers will profit greatly and we will be none the wiser ... probably still blaming each other for all of our woes ...
The world will always be an option for those that think it is OK, and/or those who have no higher aspirations ... generic spirituality allows the transcendent higher !!! IMnsHO.

Jerry Kays: I'm so "with you" but I don't think that we can get the spiritual to "win" this war of attrition unless we join forces spiritually in an organized way. I know that you are opposed to "organized religion" and I am also... except that I am only so with regards to the way religion has been exploited in the past due to lack of any divine guidance in this matter (we weren't ready for it). Now we are ready and it is here in the Baha'i Faith. We are "whistling in the wind" unless we do this and change the political system itself to emasculate the special interest groups. To do that we must have the support of the masses, and the masses aren't bright enough and ready enough to do it without some "religious impetus" behind it (as Plato said). No existing religious organization (archaic as they are) can do this because they are already philosophically divided and politically controlled by various forms of clergy.
Donald, I surely do not disagree with you on that ... I believe that your own religion may well be the hope for mankind's future and I would surely recommend it for any who are seeking a religion to associate with, there are maybe a very few others also, but the bulk of the orthodox religions (churches) I am surely in contention with.
