Where, Oh Where Did My Icon Go?

....oh where, oh where can it be?

I give up. My icon is showing up as a blank red X with no photo. Now don't get me wrong here....I don't particularly like looking at myself....it's not that at all. In fact, the photo that once was my icon isn't really me. I'm actually much younger, slimmer and sexier than the old bat in the photo. I stand a svelte 5'11" and weigh 130 pounds. My long blonde hair flows luxuriously down my back to my waist and my ruby red lips are forever plump and pouty.

Seriously now....has anyone else had this icon irregularity? It was there...for about a year actually...and now its gone.

Any helpful hints are welcome........I'll even share my stay-young-forever beauty secrets with you!!

I don't have a clue about where it went, maybe it is a temporary thing. I see a lot of boxes with red x's and they seem to come and go.

Now, about that forever young and sexy secret???? I have a pen and paper ready! Let 'er rip. ;o)

I see you, Kimberly, still there and smiling out at us. You have an excellent haircut and a red shirt or blouse or top part of a dress showing. See? I remember....no, really, I can see the photo and I just (lightly) took the teeny, tiny piece of string that fell on your shirt...oh, wait that string was on my computer string of....somethings. Now your photo looks fine again.

That's what I've been trying to tell Gather support but no one ever answers me. Some icons disappear with red X's when I use IE 7 logged in as me at work, just some, not all.. When I log in as local admin at work all icons work using IE 7. However, here at home, I use the Sea Monkey browser and have never had any problems viewing icons, even awhile back when Gather had all those problems having to reset their servers. IE 7 works well here at home too.

I've tried cleaning my cache, deleting my cookies, my history, refreshing my ip address, and nothing seems to work on the system that's having the issue. I've tried Gather support, but they remain silent on all the issues I've needed help with.

So if you ever find where your icon went, let me know how it managed to show up again, but as long as I'm not at work logged in as myself, I can still see everyone, you included.

It is probably a gather glitch or maybe someone changed your computer preferences to block images. Can you see my icon?

My daily report from this computer somewhere in the Midwest - Springlike weather, kids playing outside and Kimberly showing in full strength visibility on my screen. :)
I can see your icon, but mine did the same thing for several weeks. Then one day, it just came back. NO idea why, but it seemed that while it was invisible to me, most other folks could see it.

I looked at this earlier in the month, and I remember seeing your icon just fine! These computers do the strangest things!
