I was a die hard Palin supporter, when she was a VP candidate, I would have voted for her in a heartbeat for President, but now I'm not so sure.
Don't get me wrong I like what she stands for but I'm truly not sure if she's cut out for Politics on a national level...... Truthfully if any female had a shot at the white house it was Hillary, and she got beaten out in a big way.
Now with the 2010 and 2012 election looming on the horizon, scary because we just had an election not but a year ago.......But a lot has changed in that year with Sara Palin, and the biggie is that she resigned her post as governor of Alaska well before her term was expired.
There is speculation that she did this to focus on the 2012 election, but I'm not buying that theory. I think the harassment that she and her family endured was more than one could handle. She had some ethics complaints against her, but from what I understand was that was 'most likely NOT the main reason she resigned."
Now with the 2010 elections on the horizon one can only speculate what she is going to do, but I just heard the other day she endorsed Doug Hoffman in New York.
I remember a time when an endorsement from Bush II was like a signature of a loss, and I can't help but think that Sara Palin is going to have the same effect in politics.
She's not eligible to run for Governor of her state again in 2010 and while she make look to a senate seat or the 2012 election for a bid for president, everyone is going to remember in the back of their minds that she walked away from her post. Whether her reasons were right or wrong, personal or political......Its what she will be remembered the most for.
Right now I think an endorsement from Sara Palin, as much as I like her as a person, politically is handing a loss to someone.
Just my honest not so humble 2 cents.

I think the liberals don't like her because she's too conservative.
I dunno really, but I do like her.
That said, I think you are right. I don't think she would have a chance because she resigned from her position... she left the job before it was finished.
I think a lot of it was because of how her family was unfairly portrayed (and basically stalked) through the whole thing and even afterwards. If the Repubs would have done to Sasha and Malia what the Dems did to Sarah's whole family we'd have never heard the end of it. But that just goes to show which side has more integrity. (and I'm not even affiliated with any party, I have voted on both sides at different times!)
Sarah will stay a strong voice for the conservative side, but I think (at least I hope) that she doesn't even try to make a play for the presidential election. There are too many who don't like her, and that it will most likely tip things in favor of the other side. (as in the current administration)
She could be appointed by a new president to hold some other office and I know she'd do a great job of it. If the liberal media could leave her family alone.
I agree with you, but right now she's even going against the GOP, in her endorsement of Hoffa from New York.
The GOP is choosing a 'liberal' person pro abortion, etc etc, instead of pushing the liberal message, and choosing what they stand for.
In the end if this keeps up they are going to divide the party and not regain any seats.

And I think people are going to wonder about her motives to endorse others in their campaigns, and I think it will have a loosing domino effect, not a winning one.
Coming across as a conservative, I liked her because I could relate to her as a mom of kids with special needs and autism, I felt that she could benefit families and give understanding to what it was like to have children of special needs. Parents related to her because she was a hockey mom who shopped at Walmart...... However, the GOP didn't like that image, and I think if the GOP would have let her have the image the Americans could relate with she might have fared a little better. (Note a little, don't know how much though)
right now I can't remember a dang thing I heard her say during her campaign, what I remember her for
Is quitting
