I think we are seeing a cycle, and something that happens every so many years, just like there is a cycle with the earth and what people call 'global warming'.
But reading an article on CNSN news, it states that more people are calling themselves conservative over liberal
With a 40% out of 160,000 Americans saying they are either conservative or very conservative. Giving a percentage that has not been seen in years. Out of the survey only 21% said Liberal or very liberal.
35% said moderate.
While I know Polls are not accurate this gives me some hope that conservatives, not necessarily the GOP can turn it around in the 2010/12 elections. I've been reading about Barry's popularity is dropping, and that alone may be why he abandoned the health care right now. If nothing else he has got to have his eye on the 2012 election for himself or a fellow democrat.
Even in Barry's home state it is being reported that the liberals are outnumbered by the conservatives. I'm wondering how much fallout the democratic party has suffered from all the dirty politics in Illinois.
I have a feeling this 'could' be a trend that we continue to see the longer Barry stays in office.

Guy gets into office, barely over 7 months--and, already we're calling for his head......
We don't wish to give him a chance, now do we?
Of course, it's always fun, for an Obama detractor, to look for a premature reason to post a premature comment--just to get an opportunity to call President Obama, "Barry", four times, in a 7 paragraph Spotlight.....
And since I voted, I have the right to complain
Just like the democrats called Bush a thief every chance they got.
When Barry Soetoro proves he's a Natural Born Citizen, then I'll consider calling him Obama.
But I don't consider him my president.
I'd rather have Bush Back than Barry Boy!
Of course, we do have a significant number of folks with short memories, so as time gets closer to another election, some could forget what they felt so angry about earlier.
The "silent majority" has always been out there, and depending on whatever is going on at the time, swing left or right. Still too early to tell!
Anyway, it looks like Republicans are going to win governorships in Virginia and New Jersey, and there are several Democrats House members and one or two Democrat Senators who are vulnerable. If there's not a rapid turnaround in the economic health of the country, and if Afghanistan continues to deteriorate, the GOP could win a few seats back in the mid-terms, but I expect Dems to retain control of both chambers of congress.
