The first and only humane thing I have seen the man do that shows he has a shred of decency in him.
Writing out by hand letters to families of fallen soldiers and then signing them Barack.
He has aides get the information on each soldier and then he writes out by hand a letter, and then its typed and he signs it just Barack, that letter and the simple signature probably means more than anything that anyone could tell them. It makes the families feel that the government has acknowledged that their son or daughter, mother or father was worth the sacrifice that was given for this country.
Will he be able to continue as there will very likely be a surge in deaths as more troops start going to Afghanistan?

And, no I did NOT "imply", that that wasn't important.

As far as the notes, he probably will not be able to keep it up. You tell me one president that sent personal notes to every family that lost a fallen hero?
As far as being a good father and husband? I have not formed an opinion of him, but as anything he has done as the president of the US, its the only thing he has done that shows he has a shred of decency in him. The rest of the time? He's trying to get people to do what he wants, and when he can't get his way he throws it out that the GOP lost and he won. Sorry but as a president and politician I don't like him.
