In 1848, the founder of Commun
ism-Karl Marx-wrote in his infamous Manifest of the Communist Party about the "crying inequalities in the distribution of wealth." Then, in 1867, in what has been referred to as his masterpiece, the first volume of Das Kapital was published. In this anti-capitalism work, Marx continues his extolling of Communism and advises that wealth must be redistributed from the ‘rich-and-evil wealthy' to the ‘poor-and-downtrodden'.
In 1875, Marx continued with his theme with his treatise Critique of the Gotha Program, in which he expounds upon and summarizes the principles of a Communist system. It is from this work that Marx wrote of the distribution of society's wealth: "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his need." With this, he advises the reader that those who are the most able should and must produce more than those who are not as able. However, under Marx's Communism all will be able to take equal amounts from the community trough-regardless of their contributions. Suffice it to say, those who are actually productive are not big advocates of Communism. Side Note: Black Liberation Theology-as taught by Barack Obama's over 20-year mentor Jeremiah Wright-has its roots in Marxist philosophy.
Communism has never worked in any country in which it has been tried. In practice, Communism-the ultimate goal of liberalism-affords everything to and for the power elite and little to nothing for everyone else. It also does away with the concept of meritocracy-unless of course one is a member of the aforementioned power elite. However, more and more this is what Democrat presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama seems to be proposing.
On Monday 13 October, Barack Obama was asked by an Ohio plumber: "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" Obama answered him with: "It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too. My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody. I think when you spread the wealth around [AKA wealth redistribution], it's good for everybody." We have to imagine that Karl Marx would be extremely proud.
We already have the set-up for a USA-Communist government in place. The Democrats-via their organizations Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and ACORN (to be fair to other Democrats ACORN is actually almost solely Obama's group)-have pretty much brought the world's financial institutions and its people to their knees and on their way to complete destruction. Similar to what Hugo Chavez has done to Venezuela, Democrats are first going for nationalization of financial institutions, which will be followed by Democrat's takeover of other industries. Does anyone out there still remember California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters' threat to take over US oil companies?
Electing Barack Obama to the presidency of the United States of America will pretty much finish the Democrats' job.

Canada has seen this, now we have it. As the Liberals have wanted for some time, they now have gotten their man in office that has been trained from a child, to finish the work started.

Today millions of jobs have already been lost and people are working for a fraction of what they once made. We cannot be a nation of many have nots and a few few wealthy giants.
In the late 60's Augustus Hawkins, a Black representative from California suggested what became called the Humphrey Hawkins Full Employment Bill. It would have given a job for all Americans at a decent wage. Anyone who wanted to work could. if you did not want to work, you would not be forced.
That is decency, not communism.
The Democrats misused Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but that is OVER. If the Democrats don't straighten out and do what is right for America they will lose in the bi elections in 2010 and Obama will not get a second term in 2012.
I can't see the Republicans saving the poorer sections of America, so this is our last chance.
Pray the Dems get it right. By the way, a progressive income tax is not new. We have always had a progressive income tax.
They realize, now, that they've drifted away from it's original thinking, and were easily infilterated by a far-right-wing-extremeist type, with a radical extremist agenda. If you're a true Republican, and not one of Karl Rove's neocons you need to get with the GOP program to get back to their roots.
Fiscal reponsabilty, freedom, the constitution, and all?
The Democrats want to play a dangerous game and show it can be done, but the fact is, it will never be. Communism has little safe guards against greed, and with simple changes, can be easily switched to total control by the government, a dictatorship. The flawed philosophy is believing that you can control that governmental style.
Will this unnatural hatred of America ever end?
You'd probably be happier in Iran, moron .
1459 days 1 hour 2 minute 58 seconds until the 2012 election! I can't wait!
Chris, I do agree.
Thank you.
OF course it's never been tried. 0 for 0 is the way I see it.
There have been a lot of countries that called themselves "communist." They were all run of the mill dictatorships.
Dan, this is simply a false statement, and a pretty inflammatory one. Liberalism has nothing to do with communism. Historically, in this country, some of the most staunch anti communists in the 1950s were liberals. Communists have always hated liberals, because they think that the liberals get in the way of "real revolution".
The fact is that liberals believe in democracy, capitalism and the market. The main difference between liberals and conservatives or libertarians, is that liberals believe that a government has the responsibility to help improve people's lives. But this is always within the context of democracy, free enterprise and a market economy.
It is true that communism doesnt work. Neither by the way has pure market free enterprise. The historical record of the failure of pure capitalism (without liberal type government involvement) is too vast to recount, but consider the present mess. The fact is that no "pure" system works. Ideology is generally a bankrupt process. What is needed is a practical approach, that allows freedom and intelligence to prevail over ideology of the left or right.
He seems to be relying largely on Clinton people for his transition strategy, like John Podesta and Emanuel. His choice of Rouse on the transition team, though, is something I like. I think the guy is decent. He's a Dem, of course, but from what I know of him, he's pretty fair in his dealings, and he's a very smart guy.
Not crazy about his choice of Jarrett, another Chicago cronie, with mismanagement under her belt in a private company that took care of public housing tracts in Chicago. I'll be interested to see how Rouse, Jarrett and Podesta fit into his long term scheme and whether they will. It's too early for me to put anything together, but you know how I feel about his election, in the first place.
I roll my eyes, too
They have supported Communism and socialism for many years, and well documented. Just like Obama is a member of the DSC (is that the right abbreviation?) Democratic Socialists, an offshoot fully supported by the DNC.
Facts as usual Sy do not support you.
Obama's win is no surprise. Whether Obama is simply a natural result of decades of communist psy-ops in the media, entertainment industry, academia, and government, or whether his presence is a planned conspiracy, is immaterial; but make no mistake: there is now a communist getting ready to take the helm of the only country standing in the way of the Sino-Soviet communist plan for world domination. Scoff and laugh all you want, but that's the way it is. It is tragic. But it is not a surprise, and the patriots of America will never surrender.
Hmmmmm. No, I don't think anyone with think that movie script plausable. Perhaps if you make him a stupid, poorly educated man who can hardly speak intelligibly and make him the son of a rich and politically powerful family. Then give him an ideology that flies in the face of reason and has failed repeatedly. But then he's so dumb that he goes ahead and follows that ideology anyway and brings near ruin on the nation. Yes, that does sound plausable. I think we can make a movie from that.
Note: I truly believe Obama's commitment to the middle class, and yes, the disenfranchised and those who suffered injustices. On this level, I can relate to him very much. I know that he truly cares and he has been in touch with "real" people throughout his entire life - from the streets of Indonesia to the streets of Chicago. Me? From the streets of Chicago to the streets of Thailand and beyond. And I, too, know firsthand the injustices, the inequalities and understand the sometime disappointment of the hard-working whose rug had been taken away from under them. Oh, I know!
Addendum:
It's not socialism, it's not at all communism, it's realism. Simple at that!
As Barack Obama has iterated throughout this campaign, it is not about hand-outs. It's about providing opportunity. Those who worked all their lives, on the front lines - in the steel mills, the auto factories - those jobs were lost and at the same time, in the name of profits and stockholders equity, the fatter got fatter - bigger houses, more houses, while the hard-working were reduced to losing their homes, their dreams.
So simple! Reduce the taxes of themulti-millionaire Corporate CEO who laid off thousands of dedicated, hard-working Americans, only to manufacture in low wage countries, all in the name of increasing the bottom line - padding the pockets of the wealthiest.
I've seen those with calloused hands and broken dreams, now living in squalor and not because they are lazy or don't want to work, because they do, but the jobs that they worked all their lives are gone, long gone and their house taken away. At the same time the CEO has just bought his 5th house - a little 10,000 square foot cabin in Aspen. He need not worry too much about the thousands of laid-off workers now, he has an appointment with his accountant, who promises to find loopholes, because, let's face it - a sixth house - this time in Aruba sounds really nice.
Give me a frickin' break! It's time!
Oh, and a good thing too, that the richest man in the world has endorsed Obama - the down-to-earth and practical Warren Buffet. Says a lot right there. Oh, and guess what - he's leaving the majority of his wealth to the Bill Gates Foundation - to help millions of people around the world. Practical use of the monies that were earned in a capitalistic country such as the United States. What's that called - redistributing the wealth? You betcha. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, redistributing the wealth. Too bad, Palin didn't pick up on that. She could have used that fact in her stump speeches!
The richest man in the world and he still drives his own car and lives in the same house he bought in the 50's. Building up his nest, what a practical man. He has no need to prove how big a man he is with 20 homes and a fleet of million dollar automobiles. Smart man is he! A wise man. No wonder he has endorsed Obama. "Birds of a feather flock together."
Ah, so simple.
Bill Gates, Warren Buffet -Geniuses! Not only geniuses but geniuses with souls. That is what I look at!
Now, it's time to look in the rear-view mirror and see where I am at again, been too busy as of late. Oh, yeah, I am in Chicago-- the middle of the universe.
Blessings, Ricky J. Fico

The Obama Fan Employee threw the ticket back at her and said 'you white people are going to learn what it's like to wait your turn now.' My aunt who can hardly walk picked up this ticket, went to stand in front of the woman, and waited - because for some reason this ticket taker had decided to ONLY accept them by hand. The Obama Fan then answered her cell phone and bragged about making an old white lady wait. Elderly, yes. Fool no. My aunt recorded it all on her cell phone and got her fired. This was in Cleveland, Ohio.
Does anyone remember anything like this happening after any other election?
"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!"
Last I heard we all must take some personal responsibility to change what is happening in this country, not always trying to throw it off on one person. Instead of complaining and pointing the finger at others!
We live in one of the Greatest Nation in the World! We all must work for change, to better this country, this loose talk only causing division, helps no one. No, there will be no quick fixes, after the last administration devastated this country, but working together will help the process move much smoother.
For those on this board hoping and praying for Obama to fail, remember if he fails you will surely fall with him! All need to support our President and be a real American for God's sake! And stop all this witch hunt and back biting!
Everyone must to try to direct their energies to something more positive and unite, if truly wanting to help this country!
There were many Blacks I would have loved to see run, but none of them did; Mrs. Rice, Thomas Sowell, Colin Powell, for a started. So my statements are not racest as your people like to call, they are focused on real issues of political belief. Wake up lady. The damage has been done.
Mooch
I have the same problem at times.
