Rare Common Sense About the Obama/Wright Issue

I saw this article and agree with the author's view, totally.

Again, this whole debacle seems to play into the fear carried by some Americans that Sen. Obama, if elected, will exact some sort of revolution consisting of reprisals of all the wrongs done to Black Americans by Whites and goes back to the basic principal that we have different expereinces in this country and therefore, colors our perceptions as a group.

I wish folks would calm down on this...

Shocking secret!!!??? Give me a break!!! Every single thing this minister is preaching is true! How stupid have we become as an American society to not realize that our federal government is so corrupt, that they will murder innocent Americans in order to start wars!

I'm not making this up! It already exists in freedom of information act documents released from the 60's, when they planned to blow up planes with civilians, and blame it on CUBA!

Just how much destruction of our economy, and our way of life, are all Americans going to take before they rebel against our tyrranistic fascist government? We are very close to what Germany had when Hitler took power. Hitler staged a false attack on the Reichstag where it was burned down. Very similar to 9/11 where there was NO investigation done! Anyone who thinks 9/11 was investigated has no idea of what an investigation is!!! A real investigation conserves ALL evidence until experts have evaluated it. 9/11 was the biggest coverup to ever exist in our country, and I need zero proof to prove it. ALL 9/11 evidence at the WTC, and Pentagon, and in PA WAS COLLECTED AND DESTROYED PRIOR TO ANY INVESTIGATION! And all right before the eyes of the three hundred million idiots who watch MSM.

I 100% agree that AIDs was engineered to wipe out Africa. There simply is no way for a virus to mutate to the level that HIV has without human intervention. The new world order wants Africa to dissappear along with the middle east, and most of Russia, and China. We need to vote for Obama! Even if he disagrees with his pastor! Bill and Hillary actually have several murders on their hands while they ran Arkansas....don't vote for them!!!!! Just Google them with "Drugs", and you will see how they made millions on cocaine smuggling while Bill screwed every hooker he could find! No, she started out as a sold out corporate and lobbyist loving, inside the beltway unethical hack, and it's just MORE reason not to vote for her. She used to lead fights, like she did on health care. Of course she never won any of them. Now she is the largest recipient of pharm and insurance lobby dollars in the Senate. Not just of Democrats, but the WHOLE Senate. What's that tell you. The Hillary you folks believe in, no longer exists. That's all.

Obama is relatively, and I stress relatively, cleaner than Hillary, way more inspiring, which goes beyond experience, and speaks to what all of our great presidents were able to do, which is rally people to go beyond self interest, and do things for our country's sake. People like Roosevelt, Kennedy. We need that now, and Hillary to my mind, as others have noted, and as Michael Moore pointed out, is just Bush Light, in her embracing of corrupt Washington ways.

Very interesting article Lisa, and I just have to say to the last line that I hope not, as the identity involved there is even less existent, these days, than even Hillary's. That Boy is McBush, and all he entails.

There are so many boffos by Obama lately, that this latest Jeremiah Wright issue is just "more of the same".

He's a scary candidate for many reasons. This one just happens to be the latest skeleton we found in his closet.

Granted for many people the church they attend has more to do with habit, ritual or appearences than is does beliefs they actually thought about and agree with, but as a voter I expect more of candidate for President of the United States.

The author starts off saying he hasn't been following things closely, then goes into a bunch of maybes and mights about why people go to, or select a church and not one mention of why he goes from a personal standpoint. Probably doesn't. Yet this is about common sense.....? Whatever....

When you see an article based on anything from HuffyPost you have to take the whole thing with a grain of salt.............usually in your eye...lol.

I've seen your comments, and stuff. You expect one thing out of a presidential candidate this time around, only that she be Hillary Clinton. Like you're even close to objective.

Makes perfect sense. People have man reasons to choose a church, and like I've said already, you all want to smear by association, make this as bad as you can, not because it is, there's not one shred of proof Obama believes any of the things Wright is catching flack over, which I don't see as a big deal, anyway, and many sources of evidence he doesn't, but you have an agenda that makes you want it to be something it's not. Not buying it, and neither are most of the rest of the voters out there, try again.

I am at least if not more objective that you are. I don't think Hillary is perfect, but most of the crap and innuendo that has been spread about her is not among her imperfections, I will admit that she is ambitous and seeks power, but those are characteristics she shares with all presidential candadates. To the extent that most politcians, including Barract Obama, are calculating, she too is calculating. If you cannot see these characteristics in the candidate you support, you are looking at your candidate through rose colored glasses.

I have always found them to be factually correct, and apparently that isn't what you object to, just their point of view, that doesn't agree with yours. Noted, but it isn't going to cause me to quit publishing factually correct and liberal in view articles to attempt to offset the many skewed conservative ones here.

"Truth to power" has turned out to be the most hollow of all Liberal slogans. You can speak about how virtuous it is, all you want. However, in real life, it is almost never done. Why? If that was truly our mission, then why did we return the Iraqi National Oil Company to the Iraqi Oil Ministry in 2003? As recently as 3-9-2008, Obama and Hillary led McCain in individual one-on-one race polls (47 to 45, and 46 to 45). However, once the Ferraro stink surfaced, the Hillary numbers started to tank. Once the Jeremiah Wright firestorm blazed up, Obama's numbers have plummeted :

I think you've seen the end of Obama, and his numbers will drop throughout the Summer as he fights the Race issue, Tony Rezko, NAFTA, his awful tax policy, how he plans to pay for his health care plan, and a list of other problems. Liberal Democrats will continue to tear each other down until the DNC convention in Denver in late August. By then it will be too late.

When they do, he's going to leave a bad taste in most of his countrymen's mouths. I support no candidate. None of them are true Conservatives. I merely observed that the most Liberal ones were in deep trouble, and fighting for their political lives.

If Hillary can pull it together, she may be my candidate. But Obama is done. This Summer will bring more revelations about him that won't help him win the nomination in Denver.

Either way, Burt, but it is going to be one or the other, McCain will sink himself with his warhawk speil when people start paying attention.

I'm starting to see a good race shaping up between Hillary and McCain. Once we get this Obama clown out of the way, the picture should be clearer.

And since the two are good friends, I see a clean campaign ahead.

McCain's war hero status will go a long way this time, especially since we're still at war. When he visited the soldiers in Iraq this past week, he was cheered everywhere - even MSNBC showed that. Hillary has a lot of generals behind her, and she seems to know the material quite well.

The only one who is a military 'know-nothing' is Obama.

Hang in there, Ponhros. You do good. You have to watch Bret. He is good but often lets his bias run pass his reason. I agree with a lot of what he says but he speaks mostly from an "I am the correct one to hear" position which often ignores the realities of our lives.
