For some time now I've followed politics in general and this primary season in particular. Other than the hard cores cheering for a party, does anyone really feel the best and brightest are even entering these races anymore? I see alot of unhappiness across the political spectrum, is it just sadness certain candidates aren't there or is it more? Does this country deserve what we are likely going to have for choices come November?
Let me know what you think

Joe T is right about how we treat our leaders, no matter how you feel about the ones we've had the last few decades-the treatment they and their families get from the media and public is horrifying. To even enter a political race you have to bare your soul and its not hard to see why we end up with what we've gotten for so many years now, who would realy want to put their familiy through that all unless they are simply amoral power graspers?
You can see in many articles on gather, people are not happy about November. It seems like it'll be another year of picking the lesser of two evils except the choices are even more starker than normal.
Leaders come and go. I haven't seen any in my lifetime that really seeks to preserve the integrity of the American experiment. The government takes over more and more of our lives and treasure while ever increasing numbers of us stand in line with our hand out expecting what was once earned to be handed to us simply because we were born here. It seems if you can address that part of America your chances of getting elected are much better.
I would like to point our that Bush has certainly sold our soul to china. They now hold close to a Trillion dollars of our debt. They could wipe us out finacially with a simple statement. Good thing it is a symbiotic relationship they need us almost as much as we need them. Sad state of affairs.
I'm really quite depressed that the only two guys who have the balls to stand up to the corporate scumbags, John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich have "left the building" (along with Elvis).
Until we get the "one-two punch" of Big Pharma and the Insurance Racketeers OUT of the equation, there can be no health care reform.
From where I sit, we are being given a choice of two turds (Clinton and McCain) and one "wet fart".
OY !!!
