I got my first troll!! LOL

Last week someone posted about Gather trolls. I commented that I had never had one but now was going to get one: and I did!

Wonder if the Leprechaun trap that my 4 year old brought home from preschool back in March will work on trolls?? LOL Anyone got directions on how to catch a troll??

Well, your next step in fame here at Gather is to be accused of either being a troll, or a troll sympathizer... then you will have hit the big time!

I'm a troll according to the definitions of what people here think a troll is, but I've found that most trolls aren't really trolls. They just give honest ratings based on their own opinions. The rating system isn't a good meausre of your writing ability, nor of someone's "troll-ness." I give the rating I feel the piece deserves and if giving "1"s to people who just post drivel makes me a troll, then I gladly accept the title. Anonymous ratings give the sense that people are handing out "drive bys" but honestly I just think most people can't handle the fact that not everyone is going to automatically hand out a 10... and not everyone is going to agree with your point of view or the content of your post. So, anyway... to troll or not to troll, that is the question... whether tis nobler to ... I don't even know if I have a troll because I honestly don't even look at the ratings. They don't garner points, so I watch my page view numbers. A much more positive thing to keep track of!

I'm pretty sure I know who my troll is...a gather troll is a person that gives your postings/photos ratings of 1. I mean seriously who would give a 6 year old blond in a full heel stretch a rating of 1!!
