3-Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
- 1 coffee mug
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well. Add the egg and mix again. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla and mix one last time. I use a butter knife to mix; it's much easier than a spoon in the small space in a coffee cup.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. The cake will rise over the top of the mug while cooking, but don't be alarmed. It will settle back down.
Allow to cool for a few minutes and tip out onto a saucer or eat directly from the mug. Both Hubby and Miss D like to top theirs with a little chocolate syrup.
Serves 1 or 2, but who's kidding? You're not going to share!
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
