- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 3 cups oatmeal (might require a bit more than this)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
- Mix the first 5 ingredients in a pan and bring them to a boil on the stove. Stir them frequently, and let them boil for 2 1/2 minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and stir in the last 3 ingrediants. The next part you have to play by ear (or eye, technically). I used the 3 cups, but it was still a bit runny, so I had to add an extra cup of oatmeal. The mixture should not be runny, but the liquid should be well absorbed by the oats. This is what it looks like if it's too liquidy.

- Drop by spoonfuls on prepared sheet and let them stand at least an hour to cool. I would recommend that after they're solid enough to be lifted, sticking them in the fridge to finish solidifying. This is the finished product, while they're cooling. The first one on the bottom left of the first row is what they will look like if they're still too liquidy and you need more oatmeal.
