As most of you know, I am not that fond of Chinese (or most other) Asian dishes. However, our local place has a decent Mongolian beef dish. This recipe sounds pretty similar to it, however, they don't add carrots, and add lots of regular onion and green pepper. (I pick out the onion and green pepper, but it does give the sauce great flavor).
A few things this also needs is to marinate the meat for several hours and to stir in some lightly steamed broccoli at the end. I would also serve it with some good chili oil or Sambal Olek.
